RENO, Nev. (June 12, 2014) – The EDAWN Foundation (non-profit arm of the Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada) announced its Phase Two business marketing campaign which showcases new LED back lit signs that are prominently located inside the Reno-Sparks Convention Center. “Expand your business. Enjoy your life”  theme is the unifying messge throughout and will be seen by thousands of visitors and business travelers attending events at the center.

This marketing campaign was developed by KPS3 and is the second of a multi-phase promotion to “tell our story” about the Reno-Sparks-Tahoe region as a vibrant area for business, entrepreneurs, and is a great place to live and play. EDAWN is focused on attracting new businesses to the region and creating quality jobs.
“Most of the businesses we deal with have a dated view of our community.  They are unaware of just how diversified our economy really is.  This Campaign is just one way to help promote our region as a business destination especially to the millions of visitors, many that are business executives, who visit this region each year,” said Mike Kazmierski, CEO of EDAWN.
The Reno-Sparks Convention center is a high traffic venue and an ideal place for the signs with more than 350,000 visitors and 100 events annually. Other venues are slated for additional signs and billboards that will be introduced over the next several months in the area. Local companies can still purchase signs which can be customized with their own message. Contact Rae McElroy, mcelroy@edawn.org, 775-829-3727.

“The new message boards at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center are another great example of how public and private interests are coming together for the benefit of Northern Nevada,” said Reno-Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority President and CEO Christopher Baum. “EDAWN has been a great partner of the RSCVA, and we are delighted to provide this high traffic advertising environment to help get their B-to-B message out to visiting business people from around the country.”
EDAWN held a press conference today at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center to showcase the new 6 x 10’ LED sign panels. EDAWN and RSCVA Board members, KPS3, Major Bob Cashell, Major Gino Martini, and other community business partners attended the event. The new signage complements the “Taxi Top” advertising which was launched last September and has been very well received by the community. Several taxis displaying the new signs were also on hand at the press conference.
