Rae McElroy Promoted to EDAWN Vice President
Reno, Nev., (March 22, 2010) - - Rae McElroy has been promoted to vice president of investor relations and administration for the Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada (EDAWN). In her new role, McElroy will lead the organization’s member/investor relations and oversee administrative support for EDAWN’s business development department that recruits and expands high-value companies and jobs to the Greater Reno-Tahoe region.
McElroy joined EDAWN nine years ago and has held diverse positions during her tenure including membership development leader, executive assistant to the president/CEO, investor development manager, and most recently, as director of investor development. She is a conduit with EDAWN’s board of trustees and Economic Development Council.
“Rae’s extensive operational and relationship-building experience across all EDAWN operations, and her intimate understanding of our member/investor priorities, makes her invaluable to day-to-day operations,” said Chuck Alvey, president/CEO for EDAWN. “Her knowledge and understanding of our economic development core mission will help elevate our efforts and efficiency in attracting and expanding companies to the area.”
McElroy’s professional background prior to joining EDAWN was in non profit fundraising, business management and bookkeeping.
