EDAWN Announces New Board Members
Reno, Nev. (August 30, 2010) - - The Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada (EDAWN) has announced two new additions to its board of trustees. Rocky Finseth, president and CEO of the Carrara Group and Dennis (Denny) Williams, regional president for the Northern Nevada Division for Mutual of Omaha Bank, have joined the EDAWN board.
Finseth is president and CEO of the Carrara Group, a government affairs and lobbying firm in Nevada. With more than 17 years of experience developing public policy at a federal, state and local level of government, Finseth serves as the lead lobbyist for the firms’ clients. Among the company’s clientele include the Nevada Association of REALTORS® and its five local associations, the Pharmaceutical Manufacturers of America, Glaxo, SmithKline, and the Nevada Land Title Association, among others. Finseth earned a bachelor of science degree in political science from Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Ore.
A native Nevadan, born in Reno, Williams has more than 40 years of banking industry experience in Nevada. As regional president for the Northern Nevada Division for Mutual of Omaha Bank, Williams oversees operations, including commercial lending, construction lending, private banking, treasury management services, retail banking, community development and marketing. He also works closely with the bank’s wealth management group and mortgage division.
Williams earned a bachelor of science degree in business administration from the University of Nevada, Reno, and is a graduate of the National Commercial Lending School at Norman, Okla. As well as serving on the EDAWN board, Williams serves on the board of directors of C*A*R*E* Chest of Sierra Nevada and as vice chairman of the board of directors of the Renown Health Foundation.
EDAWN’s board of trustees is the governing and administrative body for the non-profit organization supporting its mission to recruit and expand quality companies to Greater Reno-Tahoe.
