Entrepreneurial Update

The 2017 Collaboration Coins have hit the streets!

By providing people with the startup deck and collaboration coin, it’s our intent to deputize the community to grow the entrepreneurial ecosystem. Local coffee shops are the watering holes & meeting places for our startups and we want to continue to encourage “serendipity”. You can get a collaboration coin by attending a 1 Million Cups event, hosted every Wednesday morning from 9 to 10 am, at Swill Coffee and Wine. For a list of participating “watering holes”, visit www.renostartupdeck.com

If you are an entrepreneur, small business, or startup founder, please help The University of Nevada, Reno’s College of Business with their survey.

They are working on a research project that explores how start-ups and small business owners deal with the business entity choice as a start-up.

It is with great sadness that we share and mourn the loss of a great entrepreneur startup ambassador, and mentor in our community.

Early Saturday morning, Eric Madison, passed away. Eric worked out of the Innevation Center as a co-founder of Startup NV, and many in our community knew him very well. Yesterday, we paid tribute to Eric at 1 Million Cups. We will miss him and his entrepreneurial spirit greatly.
