This month we launched an attraction campaign as we continue to bring entrepreneurs, startups, and founders to the region!

Our goal is to not only increase the average wage in the region, attracting new technical talent, but to also attract serial entrepreneurs and investors. If you know of a founder, entrepreneur, or company looking to relocate, please let us know and we’ll reach out!

Startup Company Of The Month

This month we wanted to give a shout out to Tahoe Trail Bar; they’ve been making waves! Earlier in the year, they launched NEW packaging, NEW flavors, & NOW they’ve been selected as the regional Whole Foods Local Producer Grant recipient. On Wednesday, July 26th shop at your local Whole Foods Market and 5% of your purchase helps fund a grant that will be awarded to Tahoe Trail Bar this Summer. Tahoe Trail Bar is currently being sold throughout the West Coast, and this grant will help them expand nationally! Show your support for a local startup and shop at Whole Foods Reno on July 26th! Learn more about Tahoe Trail Bar here.

The Northern Nevada Business Weekly’s next Breakfast & Business event is Thursday, August 3rd and our Senior VP of Entrepreneurial Development, Doug Erwin, will be the featured speaker. 

Northern Nevada is continuing to emerge as a hub for startups and entrepreneurs. In partnership with the City of Reno, City of Sparks, Sierra Arts Foundation & Title Sponsor, RSCVA, EDAWN will be presenting awards to local businesses and individuals who have shown outstanding support and engagement with the local arts and culture community. The community is encouraged to nominate a deserving company or individual in various award categories. There are five award categories including Business of the Year Award, Leadership Award, Advocate Award, Lifetime Achievement Award, and Excellence in Arts Business Management. Category descriptions, nomination criteria, and the nomination forms can be located on the  EDAWN website here.
