November was a busy month for the BREWD team.The team assisted with an expansion for a local business that will be adding 15 new jobs in the next two years and will be investing over $20M in new equipment. They also met with six additional companies providing assistance and connections.
On the workforce front, SVP Nancy McCormick spoke to a group of Veterans at the University of Nevadaveterans Alumni Chapter Engage Networking Breakfast. She spoke about career opportunities in the region, and encouraged Veterans to connect with resources and employers. Here’s a link with some reminders as to why Veterans make great employees!

Looking for creative ways to find employees? Encourage your existing employees via employee referral bonuses,and ask them to spread the news about open positions through their own social media channels, amplifying your reach. Another tip is to update the career section on your web site in order to stand out and attract workers, via re-energized marketing targeted at the demographic you are trying to reach. Raise your Career section to a prominent location on your website and make it fun and easy to navigate!
