EDAWN’s Mid-Year Update & Arts/Business Collaboration Luncheon

Transforming the community through the partnership of arts and business was the focus of EDAWN’s Mid-Year Economic Update & Arts/Business Collaboration Luncheon held September 23, 2021. This event provided an economic update of EDAWN’s business development successes over the past 18 months, a retrospective look of the pandemic, and how it has impacted our community and our economy.

The important role of a thriving arts and culture community plays in EDAWN’s regional diversification efforts was also highlighted along with the impact arts and creativity have on our economy, health and well-being, placemaking in communities, and education. To emphasize the importance of arts and business alliances, EDAWN featured a new video showcasing the many unique collaboration efforts of the local arts and business community.

Tech Companies StemExpress and PayCertify Make the Move to the Reno-Sparks Region

More and more technology-driven companies are relocating to the Reno-Sparks region. Here, at EDAWN’s Press Conference held March 31st, 2021, two biotech & fintech companies announce their move to Northern Nevada. StemExpress and PayCertify are expected to create more than 200 combined biotech and fintech jobs over the next several years. The location of these fast-growing companies in Reno is a testimony to the advantages of conducting business in Northern Nevada and the region’s expanding tech ecosystem.
