EDAWN, gener8tor, and Kiln Convene Investors, Founders, and Regional Partners in Reno for Electrify Nevada Accelerator Showcase

Reno, Nev. (May 20, 2026) – Ten energy and climate-tech startups, more than 20 investors, and a roster of regional partners came together at Kiln in Reno last night for an exclusive hard hat dinner marking the end of the Spring 2026 Electrify Nevada Accelerator cohort. The Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada (EDAWN), gener8tor, and Kiln co-hosted the evening, which also offered guests a private preview of Kiln, a new coworking space set to open to the public in June on South Virginia Street.

Each of the 10 founders selected for this season’s Electrify Nevada Accelerator, gener8tor’s national program for early-stage energy and climate companies in partnership with the Nevada Governor’s Office of Economic Development, gave a short pitch over the course of the evening. Half of the cohort is based in Nevada, and the rest are companies actively exploring the state for their next stage of growth.

The work of EDAWN’s Entrepreneurial Development team has been helping build an entrepreneurial ecosystem where companies like these choose to grow, where new coworking spaces like Kiln decide to open, and where there are enough investors to back the companies and show up for evenings like this one.

“Strong ecosystems are built one connection at a time,” said Doug Erwin, Senior Vice President of Entrepreneurial Development at EDAWN. “Putting founders, investors, and operators around the same table is how companies grow here, stay here, and bring others with them.”

The ten companies include:

Bronco Poweroffers patented, UL-certified backup power systems for homeowners, commercial operators, and builders who need automatic power solutions where generators aren’t an option

Cache Energydeveloped an ultra-long duration energy storage technology. Cache’s TES (Thermal Energy Storage) uses smart controls to charge and discharge heat based on electricity prices, ensuring customers get constant heat while reducing costs.

Echo Elementsrevolutionizes battery and e-waste recycling with a patent-pending low-water molten salt electrochemical platform that recovers critical minerals as high-purity metals, enabling a compact, domestic closed-loop supply chain for batteries and electrification.

Niu Niuis an e-waste optimization platform that maximizes the recovery of critical minerals from electronic waste through AI-driven sorting and sustainable recycling methods, while ensuring traceability of critical minerals

Quad Roofhas patented and deployed the first cost-effective, fully UL-certified BIPV solar roofing system at half the cost of traditional solar tiles, aesthetically designed to fit any roof for both retrofit and new construction.

ArchiMAT is a climate readiness platform for organizations that own, lease, or operate physical spaces, supporting decisions across design, construction, materials, operations, and reporting. ArchiMAT integrates the full lifecycle from material selection through operations and ESG reporting, enabling continuous carbon tracking and turning climate goals into measurable actions.

Basin Technologies helps mining & infrastructure developers navigate complex permitting requirements and avoid costly delays. Its platform analyzes permit dependencies, identifies sequencing risks, and flags submission issues before filing.

Flick is a patented energy savings device for multifamily property owners, founded by a 15 year utility veteran and MIT alum. It delivers utility-validated energy savings of over 8% with a payback period of less than one year, targeting an underserved segment of the housing market with a simple, cost-effective solution.

Hydronexus Energy develops modular hydrogen power systems that replace diesel generators in space constrained environments such as data centers, temporary power sites, and energy resilient facilities. Its scalable architecture enables megawatt scale, dispatchable power without specialized infrastructure, reducing emissions, fuel logistics, and permitting complexity.

NetMeterGO.com provides a SaaS platform that helps utilities manage and streamline distribution level interconnection for distributed energy resources and large new loads. It replaces manual, opaque processes with a system that improves visibility, reduces costs, and shortens interconnection timelines for utilities, developers, and customers.

“Half of the companies in our current cohort already call Nevada home, and the other half are actively exploring the state as a launchpad for their next stage of growth,” said Jessica Halsey, Managing Director at gener8tor. “The inbound interest we’re seeing from across the globe reflects a growing recognition that Nevada is becoming a premier hub for advanced energy.”

For Kiln, the evening offered an early introduction of the space to founders, investors, and partners ahead of its June opening.

“Opening Kiln with the Electrify Nevada Accelerator is exactly the kind of start we wanted,” said Zoe Richards, Community Director at Kiln. “A coworking space is only as useful as the network it sits inside, and tonight made clear that the network in Northern Nevada is showing up.”

The Electrify Nevada Accelerator is one piece of a broader entrepreneurial strategy that EDAWN continues to support in 2026 and beyond.
