Event Recap: ReCharge Nevada Summit - April 26
On April 26, at the Washoe County Commissioners' Chambers EDAWN, NNDA and the Governor’s Office of Economic Development (GOED) provided a summary of their economic development strategic plans to grow the economy. EDAWN’s focus was on attracting more that twice as many jobs to the region than in the past for years through an aggressive marketing effort, while also standing up strong retention/expansion and entrepreneurial development programs. The event demonstrated how the region's economic development organizations' strategic plans were coordinated and complementary. The Summit aired on Washoe County's TV channel and was open to the public. Members of the community as well as a number of EDAWN Board members, Washoe and Douglas County Commissioners and the Mayors of Carson City and Fernley attended.
