Hose Master’s Advanced Manufacturing Plant Opening in Sparks, NV Announced at EDAWN’s Luncheon
RENO, Nev. (Jan. 22, 2015) – Hose Master, today announced the opening of a new advanced manufacturing plant that fabricates flexible, metal hoses in Sparks, Nevada with plans to bring up to thirty jobs to Northern Nevada and be operational by April 2015. The announcement took place at the EDAWN Community Luncheon & Economic Update held at the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa.

Clear Capital Moves Headquarters and Operations to Reno, Nevada
RENO, Nev. (Jan. 6, 2015) – The Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada (EDAWN) and Governor Brian Sandoval announced today at a press conference that Clear Capital, a technology leader in real estate valuation and analytics solutions is moving its company headquarters and operations from California to a new site that is currently under construction in downtown Reno. Clear Capital is expected to add up to 400 jobs to Northern Nevada.

Seven New Companies Add 194 Jobs to the Northern Nevada Economy
Reno, Nev. (Dec. 5, 2014) – Seven new companies to grow in the Reno – Sparks area; six companies that recently relocated to Northern Nevada, and one company that is newly formed here, will collectively add 194 jobs in five years to the local economy. Additionally, three of these companies will locate their headquarters operations in the Reno area.

Ghost Systems Opens Global HQ, Corporate Offices and SafePlace Datacenters in Reno, NV
RENO, Nev. (Dec. 2, 2014) – The Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada (EDAWN) and Governor Brian Sandoval announced today at a press conference that Ghost Systems, a provider of cybersecurity data centers, has opened its global headquarters in Incline Village, NV, with offices and the first of several data center projects in Reno. The company is expected to fill up to 150 jobs.

Cenntro Automotive Launches Electric Vehicle Production in Sparks, Nevada
Sparks, Nev. (Oct. 24, 2014) – Cenntro Automotive Corporation has established its headquarters and manufacturing facility in its ~80,000sf facility located in Sparks, Nevada. Cenntro will manufacture both the Citelec and Kombi EV, all electric commercial utility vehicles at this location and hire up to 300 employees at full production.

Petco Breaks Ground on New Distribution Center in Reno, Nevada

(Oct. 16, 2014) – The Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada (EDAWN), AEW Capital Management and Panattoni Development Company, Inc. announced today at a groundbreaking ceremony that Petco, a San Diego-based company and leading national pet specialty retailer, is constructing a new Distribution Center in Reno, Nevada. The new facility is expected to bring up to 150 jobs to the area.

ISS Salon and Beauty Products Distributor Moves Headquarters to Reno, NV
RENO, Nev. (July 24, 2014) – The Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada (EDAWN) is pleased to announce the addition of Independent Salon Services (ISS) headquarters to Reno, Nevada. Independent currently generates revenue through direct sales and storefront business.The stylist-owned, stylist-driven distributor of salon and beauty products plans to staff a number of sales and customer service positions at the new headquarters location in the Bank of the West Building on Kietzke Lane. The move was was made in an effort to increase market share and brand awareness.

New Signs at Reno-Sparks Convention Center Sends a Message

(June 12, 2014) – The EDAWN Foundation (non-profit arm of the Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada) announced its Phase Two business marketing campaign which showcases new LED back lit signs that are prominently located inside the Reno-Sparks Convention Center. “Expand your business. zulily Inc. Selects Nevada for New Fulfillment Center
RENO, Nev. (May 22nd, 2014) – zulily, inc. has announced the construction of a new fulfillment center in McCarran, Nevada that will double the size of its existing Nevada fulfillment center. The 707,010 square ft. facility could potentially hold as many as 1,600 zulily employees. This has the potential to be the largest job growth commitment on record in EDAWN history.

EDAWN and NIREC Collaborate on Entrepreneurship Grant
RENO, Nev., April 17th, 2014 – The Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada (EDAWN) and the Nevada Institute for Renewable Energy Commercialization (NIREC) have agreed to become co-recipients of the Nevada Entrepreneurial Success Tracker (NEST) grant awarded originally to NIREC by the U.S. Economic Development Administration.
