CEO & Business Development Update – Oct. 2016

Support WC-1! Only a month out from the election! If you have not already provided a donation, put up a yard sign or otherwise supported this important initiative please consider doing so. You can also join EDAWN as we walk a neighborhood to remind neighbors to vote “YES” on WC-1! We will meet on Saturday, October 15th at 9 am at Hidden Valley Elementary School, 2115 Alphabet Drive, Reno.  Hope to see you there!  Please RSVP to info@SOSWashoe.com.   Here is their flyer.

Speaking of support for WC-1, here is a real artist showing his support “for the children.”

WC-1 Simple video addressing key questions.  If you have questions about WC-1, please review this short video and post it on your Facebook page to help others. Here is the post to share!

Taxi-Tops available!  Please consider adding taxi-top advertising to your marketing plan now and in the years ahead.  We just had 30 taxi-tops open up and if we cannot keep the taxi-tops filled with family friendly messages they will revert to those that are less reflective of the “new” Reno-Sparks.  Just $1,000 for the entire year!  Contact Tamera Pitts at 775.829.3700 or email pitts@edawn.org.

The Nevada DETR R & A Quarterly Statement of Employment and Wages reflects that the gaming accounts for less than 4% of our local economy. Here is their comparison chart.

You’re invited! EDAWN’s 5th Annual “Existing Industry Awards”, is taking place on Thursday, October 13th, at the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa/Paradise Ballroom from 5-7:30 pm. Register here. *Advance Registration Required*

The EPIC Report with Actual Numbers updated through August. Now 20 months into the 5 year EPIC report projections of over 52,000 and we are still on track, even before Tesla, Panasonic and Switch ramp up their hiring efforts.  Here are Actual Numbers Graphs.
