A second way to fill your employee pipeline…register for the WCSD Career Expo on October 30th and 31st to make over 5000 Eighth graders career aware of your company and the many job in the manufacturing industry. Manufacturers are greatly needed at this event to help our students understand there are new opportunities for good-paying manufacturing jobs in our region!
Partner UpdatesCongratulations to Truckee Meadows Community College which was named one of the 150 community colleges eligible to compete for the 2019 Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence, the nation’s signature recognition of high achievement and performance in America’s community colleges.TMCC was selected from a pool of nearly 1,000 public two-year colleges nationwide to compete for the $1 million Aspen Prize. The Nevada Governor’s Office of Economic Development has been awarded $125,000 as part of the State Trade Expansion Program administered by the U.S. Small Business Administration.The purpose of the award is to assist Nevada Eligible Small Business Concerns (ESBCs) defray in part the costs of participation in approved export sales activities. Interested ESBCs may compete for a Financial Assistance Award through GOED by completing and submitting an application.
